"Back in 1835, when Halley's Comet was overhead, same night those men died at the Alamo, they say Samuel Colt made a gun. A special gun. He made it for a hunter. A man like us, only on horseback. Story goes, he made thirteen bullets. This hunter used the gun a half dozen times before he disappeared, the gun along with him. They say... they say this gun can kill anything."
It has been four months since that very same gun was used to open the Hellgate, unleashing hell on Earth. Demons were freed, able to roam the world disguised as humans; hunting down each Hunter as they saw fit. With the death of the Yellow Eyed Demon, they believed it was over.
But it had only begun.
Four months ago, Dean Winchester made a deal with the devil; something no hunter should ever be forced to do. He sold his soul to bring back his brother. With a year to live, Sam is running out of options. He could kill the Crossroads demon but then he'd drop dead according to Dean. He could use a number of rituals but the consequences would all be the same. He'd be dead before he finished.
xx
That left only two options.
He could follow in both the footsteps of his brother and his father and sell his soul to save Dean's. Or, he could wait till the year was up then follow Dean into hell and drag him back out killing anyone who got in the way.
With Azazel dead, the job of destroying the hunters falls to his son. His main objective in the war is to awaken all the 'soldiers' his father blooded when they were six months old. Some are turning to the dark side, other's are using their powers for good and getting stronger by the moment. What does Ruby have to do with the new evil? How does she know him?

Gordon Walker, having managed to make enemies of nearly all allies of the Winchesters and the other hunters, is on a killing spree. His determination to rid the world of these 'soldiers' is surpassed only for his obsession with seeing Sam dead. He knows what the yellow eyed demon said to Dean that night almost four months ago when all hell broke loose. There isn't a hunter in America who hasn't heard the story or how Sam clawed his way back from hell with his brothers help.
"Are you sure what you brought back is one hundred percent... pure... Sam?"
So maybe he's not 100% human but at the end of the day, he's still Sam. Rumour's are he's working with a demon and that's good enough for Gordon and his band of renegade hunters. Bella Talbot, esteemed thief, is now determined to get her hands on the Impala. One of her customers wants it and is willing to pay a hefty sum of money but the one thing standing between her and the car isn't the Winchester's as she'd have thought.
No, it's her newest enemy.
Ruby.
With the hunters now squabbling amongst themselves, the demons have full run of the cities. They could be anyone. Your neighbour, your teacher...hell even one of your parents.
So which side are you on? The Winchester's? Gordon's? Are you even human?
How far are you willing to go to win this war? How much will you sacrifice to stay out of hell?
It doesn't matter...either way; we're all in hell now.
