Lonely Relaxation Jacqueline sighed softly as she walked through the dark hallways. It wasn’t night outside yet, but the cloudy and rainy weather made it look so. It seemed so lonely around here. Most students were at home and such and this seemed to be like a scene from one of her favorite classics.
She giggled and her laugh echoed slightly and got carried away through the empty corridors. The rain was there, the gray weather, the icy hall; her pale, wet figure…all she needed now was some romance. She had had to walk through the rain and that sure wasn’t welcome.
Finally seeing the common room door, she smiled and hurried her pace. She gracefully opened the door and relief swept over her own self as she noticed no one was even there. The fire was lit and the room’s lights were dim. The window seemed to creak as the huge droplets of rain hit the blurry glass.
Jacqueline slowly walked over to the fireplace and warmth flooded her body. A satisfied smile erupted on her ivory face as she sat down in an old armchair and took off her cashmere, yet wet sweater. Her black, lacy tank top wasn’t as wet and she was grateful for at least that. She closed her eyes and leaned back, but her attention was taken by the opening door of the common room.

&&__remember.when.it.rained. in the darkness i remain Leon shuffled along the corridor ignoring the looks he was getting. Did he have a huge sign over his head flashing 'Hey I have a black eye! Look at me!' He stared intently at his red converse as he used his back to open the common room door, wincing as strands of his black hair brushed the raw looking cut under his eye. The stitches were tight and uncomfortable.
Then again, he was uncomfortable with the fact the boys had been patting him on the back and congratulating him in his fight. God he'd almost had a panic attack in the middle of several classes and he hadn't had one of them in years. Shaking his head and allowing drops of water to fly off in various directions he looked down at the drenched yet amazingly oversized Metallica t-shirt that hung off him, covering the top of his equally as wet baggy black jeans.
He was surprised his converse were dry.
Dropping his messenger bag on the floor beside him, he looked up to spot Jacqueline, offering her a shy smile.

Jake turned around swiftly as she heard the door open. A blush erupted on her pale cheeks, and a loose strand of golden hair got into her eyes. She brushed it off quickly and smiled back. She was all alone in her little realm and this was a bit embarrassing; someone finding her day dreaming.
“Hey, Leon,” she added brightly and got up slightly, before looking around the room. “Pretty lonely, up here, huh? Glad someone finally came, I was getting a bit well…lonely?” she stated and started giggling at her choice and repetition of words. She stole a quick glance and bit her lip, trying to make her awkward thoughts go away. ‘But he’s so cute,’ she thought to herself and mentally slapped herself. ‘Get over it, Jacque; it's not happening!’
She got up, and paced around the room, being a bit at ease, that she wasn’t alone anymore, yet a bit shy at the same time. “So, what’s up?”
She stared a bit at his black eye, but broke eye contact before he could notice, and decided not to make any remark upon it; maybe it was something he didn’t want to talk about. She shrugged and put her slim hands in her skinny jeans’ pockets once more.

He brushed his unruly black hair out his eyes as he watched her blush; it was kind of cute. He looked away with that thought, his own cheeks reddening before he heard her talk about being lonely, a smile on his lips as he looked back up, "Jacq; you're rambling", he unnecessarily pointed out as he cupped his elbow with his hand - dropping it when she asked whats up.
He bit his bottom lip, mentally debating whether or not he should come out with 'Well my step dad likes to you know 'treat me like an adult' and decided I needed a good old pounding because I didn't tidy my room' but decided against it, coming out with "I fell"; one of the oldest and lamest excuses in the book as she sunk onto an armchair beside him.

Jacqueline smiled, trying to be sympathetic, but at the same time realizing he was hiding something. “ I do that a lot too…fall I mean,” she added, thinking of how klutzy she seemed to be sometimes, yet still managed to look graceful; maybe it was a trick of hers or just pure luck? One may never know…
“Sorry if I ramble a lot, I tend to do that, when charming guys are around me,” she added with a challenging smile and a wink, but looked away quickly, as thunder roared outside.
“ I hate thunder, it creeps me out sometimes. I hope there won’t be a black out!” she stated hopefully, yet she knew that would most probably happen sooner or later.
She tilted her head to the side and sat back into her armchair, picking up some crackers from the nearby coffee table. They usually ran out of them, but today she seemed to be in luck. She offered some to Leon, extending her hand and awaited his response.

Nervously, Leon reached out a hand and took a cracker, smiling his thanks as he nibbled on one corner in a way that resembled a mouse. He hadn't eaten since lunch the day before so he was starving. And with that thought; he shoved the cracker in whole. Cheeks puffed out like a chipmunk, he quickly swallowed, blushing furiously when he was finished.
"Well, if it does black out you can - you can hold my hand..."
His voice was all but a whisper but the shade of red coloring his face spoke volumes about what he was thinking of. He was never usually this forward with people he liked. Had Jacq been anyone else, he would have pounced on her and fucked her by now but because it was /her/ he was a completely different person much to his annoyance. Even when he tried to be cocky with her it's always fell flat.

Jackie smiled, then laughed and shoved a couple of cracker sin her mouth; she was starving as well after all, and who cared about manners right now? If she was at home, she would have probably been scolded and such, but hey Leon was a friend and she could be herself around him, right?
“Now, you’ve made me want a blackout,” she added with a giggle, and took his hand in hers giving it a small squeeze, before getting up to throw away the empty bag of crackers.
“Well, we’ve finished that fast, didn’t we?” she asked, almost rhetorically and sat down closer to him, trying to show her interest, although her shyness did take over a bit, making her overly mad at her own self.

Leon gulped slightly as she took his hand, mentally wanting to beat himself shit less at how he was behaving. He really needed to get a grip before he thoroughly embarrassed himself. He worried his bottom lip with his teeth, about to squeeze back when she got up. When she was clear over the other side of the room at the bin, that's when he let out the breath he hadn't realised he was holding.
"Want a - a blackout?" he asked dumbly, blinking owlishly as he looked about as if expecting someone to jump out and go 'HA, Blackout!' and switch the lights off. He looked at his hands before nodding, "Yeah - we did didn't we?" he let out a small laugh, his dimples showing as he looked back up in time to see her sit down.
"Umm...so...."

Jacqueline leaned back into her chair and yawned, feeling rather sleepy all of a sudden. Leon’s shyness made her laugh, yet in a good way of course, trying to be the bold one, but not succeeding. She liked it when guys were shy around her, but she absolutely hated it when she was shy back; and it was happening right now.
Running a hand through her golden curls, she smiled eyeing him, then looking at the fire. She kept thinking of various ways to peek his interest and grow bolder, but nothing came to mind. “Of course silly! Who wouldn’t want to be with you…in the dark,” she fianlly responded and accentuated the last word, while turning to face him slightly.
She tilted her head to get side to get a better look at him and stretched her arms. “This weather does make me sleepy. “ Leaning back, and trying to relax, she closed her eyes as a blush creped up her cheeks, while her mind went to places that were…well rather forbidden at the moment.
